Guayakí connects North American yerba mate customers with indigenous communities engaged in sustainable agriculture and reforestation projects in Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Yerbamate is aplant in South America and is said to have similar properties to coffee with the impact of a stimulant, but also has nutrients.

    Commitment to sustainable forest production in Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil. Recyclable and recycled packaging and paper supplies. Through the production of yerba mate, Guayaki actually reduces carbon from the environment. Production facility is powered by solar energy.

    Farmers are paid fairly, human rights are guaranteed, farmers are compensated through Fair Trade Certification. Empowering local communities to take action in protecting their environments. The Guayakí Foundation provides assistance to the communities where yerba mate is sourced to improve ecological, economically, and community health.
