Salt and Stone

VERIFIED business since Apr 2015

We believe that fine jewelry is a physical manifestation of a powerful memory. That everyone deserves to sparkle. That jewelry should be fun, fashion-forward and timeless. We believe in sourcing the best gemstones without harming our world's resources and that recycled metal is a buyer's best friend. We believe that good design shouldn't cost a fortune. And that everyone should try on a new type of jewelry experience. Welcome to Salt + Stone. A fine jewelry company based in Brooklyn, NY, all of our jewelry is hand-made, made in the USA and created with love and care. We pay attention to the details so you don't have to.

  • Community

We are proud to be a part of the amazing diamond district located in Manhattan.  By actively chosing to utilize local labor, we create jobs for local artisans in a community that is slowly being destroyed by international outsourcing.  We will always be American made.  It might hurt our potential profit margins, but we're bold enough to say we're a company not in it just for the money.  Our mission is to make the world more beautiful.  One piece of jewelry at a time.

  • Environment

All of our large colorless diamonds adhere to the Kimberly Process. The Kimberley Process (KP) is a joint governments, industry and civil society initiative to stem the flow of conflict diamonds – rough diamonds used by rebel movements to finance wars against legitimate governments.  We also work with local casters that utilize recycle metal grain so we aren't actively depleting our environment's natural resources.

  • Social

We believe that love is color blind.  Love doesn't have race, gender or creed.  We pride ourselves on being a company that respects and cherishes all types of love.  The beauty is in the differences of romantic expression.  We hope to partner in 2014 with some charitble organizations that share this viewpoint so we can start giving back some of the love that all of our loyal clients give us.

  • Employees Culture

It's in the name!  Salt + Stone was named after the company's lead designer, Jacqueline Stone.  She wanted the company name to be indicative of a collaborative process.  "I'd be nowhere without my amazing team.  They help me bring my designs to life.  I hope to encourage an environment where ideas are exchanged freely, we treat each other with respect and that with each piece we create the beauty doesn't lie only within the final product, but within the process".
